I have spent more than 26 years in the film and television industry mainly as an independent producer/owner of Impact Television and Daybreak Pacific Limited in New Zealand, and most recently as Joint CEO/Producer of Queensland’s most prolific feature film producer, Limelight International Media Entertainment based in Brisbane Australia.
In my filmmaking career I have raised almost $200 million in film financing and have nearly 40 film credits. My productions have included films shot in New Zealand, UK, Canada, Australia, Russia, France, Germany, and USA. I have worked with a number of the major international lending banks in the industry and have been attending film and television markets for over 25 years in France, Canada, Germany and USA.
My skills include raising equity with several public offerings, private placements, international banks, international film funds, and government funding agencies as well as negotiating presales, minimum guarantees and international co-productions. Managing and motivating people, running large productions with budgets up to $35m, creating cashflow forecasts, and budgeting complex projects are all among my skills.
As a producer I have first-hand experience and knowledge of all aspects of creative producing, extensive knowledge of business affairs and film legal contracts, as well as financing and production, cost reporting and production accounting.
